Missional Community Leadership
We believe that every person has a unique gifting and calling on their life. To that end, Orchard Church will be a church that exists to disciple and send the church back into the neighborhood, community, and the world to be change agents with a Kingdom purpose.
We believe this happens gradually through communing together over a meal or snack, gathering consistently at least twice a month, and curating a space for deep and safe conversation. It can be in a home, in a park, a coffee shop.
Missional Community Leaders will be empowered to invite people from their neighborhood, place of work, and within their sphere of influence into their Missional Community. We believe that these personal relationships are by far the best invitation into the Orchard Church community.
Missional Community Leaders will lead their Missional Communities in prayer, Bible study, and other spiritual disciplines. But more than anything, within these communities, it be regular practice to lead members to live a life as a witness to the transforming power of Jesus in their neighborhoods, workplaces, and spheres of influence. That happens over time.
Do I have to have people in my space? Leaders do not have to be hosts. Know someone who wants to open up their space for others, but doesn't want to lead a meeting? No problem. We encourage getting creative with where you'll hold your meetings, as long as it encourages consistent attendance.
We hope that Missional Community Leaders will have deep humilty and love for people. If you feel called to leadership in any sphere, we'd love to talk to you. We want to develop leaders in and outside of the church, so let us know how we can partner with you for your growth journey.
